In 2001, Pinewood Studios merged with Sheperton studios, another great British company. Established in 1928, Shepperton Studios had been acquired in January 1995, by the Scott brothers, Ridley and Tony and the Candover company, whom were responsible three years later for the filming of the Oscar-winning film “Shakespeare in love”.

“It isn’t just the world class facilities and the versatility that place Pinewood on the avant-garde of the film and television industry. The compound hosts a studio town, a vast amount of specialized media, and production supporting companies, with the assistance of experts”, it mentions on their website.

The group is currently composed by Shepperton and Teddington Studios. With 34 stages, 5 digital television studios.
