Fundación Sinfonía will present an all-Beethoven repertoire by The Wiener Akademie Orchestra in the Carlos Piantini Hall of the National Theather. on February 6th and 7th.

Information was made public amid a Meet & Greet hosted in the Casa del Arbol Suite of the Casas del XVI Hotel, which began with a welcome address by Ignacio Peñalver, G.M at Casas del XVI in the Colonial City.

Shortly after, Margarita Copello de Rodríguez, Chair at Fundación Sinfonía, thanked the support received by the Ministry of Culture and the Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito, as well as the generous sponsorship of the following companies and institutions: The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic; Banco Popular Dominicano; Fundación Propagas; Scotiabank; Casas del XVI; Fundación Refidomsa; Banco BDI; Viamar; Banco López de Haro; Alvarez & Sánchez; Marsh, Franco &Acra, Fundación Corripio; Seabord, Listín Diario, Grupo Puntacana, and members of the Beethovenian Circuit.

The presentation continued featuring comments by Margarita Miranda Mitrov and Eduardo Villanueva, memebrs of the Fundación Sinfonía Artistic Committee, whom elaborated on the exquisite Austrian orchestra that will perform in-country for the first time ever.

The Wiener Akademie Orchestra was founded in 1985 by Martin Haselbock, a renowned Austrian organist, opera and orchestra director. This peculiar orchestra is renowned for the quality of its performing members, and for playing époque instruments such as baroque timpani, natural trumpets, natural corni and string instruments made with gut strings and different arch styles. The strings and wind instruments date back to the XVIII Century if not well-made reproductions.

In 2014, Maestro Haselbock launched a new concert series, RESOUND BEETHOVEN, in Vienna, featuring Wiener Akademie Orchestra, playing Beethoven’s symphonies in the same theaters where they once debut, and since 2017, this concert series has been on tour everywhere in the world.

The presentation continued featuring comments by Margarita Miranda Mitrov and Eduardo Villanueva, memebrs of the Fundación Sinfonía Artistic Committee, whom elaborated on the exquisite Austrian orchestra that will perform in-country for the first time ever.

The Wiener Akademie Orchestra was founded in 1985 by Martin Haselbock, a renowned Austrian organist, opera and orchestra director.

This peculiar orchestra is renowned for the quality of its performing members, and for playing époque instruments such as baroque timpani, natural trumpets, natural corni and string instruments made with gut strings and different arch styles. The strings and wind instruments date back to the XVIII Century if not well-made reproductions.

In 2014, Maestro Haselbock launched a new concert series, RESOUND BEETHOVEN, in Viena, featuring Wiener Akademie Orchestra, playing Beethoven’s symphonies in the same theaters where they once debut, and since 2017, this concert series has been on tour everywhere in the world.
